The masterplan is focused on reimagining the Town Centre by creating and connecting more green spaces, embracing heritage, transforming the urban environment as a place for people, repopulating the town centre and making it the go-to destination.

The masterplan is centred around 4 key concepts and 15 projects. Of these, 4 projects are underway at the time of writing, while a further 11 have been identified for their strategic importance. These projects play to the town’s strengths and when implemented they will transform Letterkenny, fulfilling its potential as an important regional centre that draws and keeps people ‘north west of all’.
