The concept of strengthening the connections between Pearse Road and Main Street, as part of the regeneration strategy for Letterkenny Town Centre, recognises the importance of stitching the old and new areas back together.

Re-imagining the connections and shifting the focus to high quality public realm areas will encourage, invite and make it easier for people to move between Main Street and Pearse Road. Strengthening these connections and providing an easy route to travel by foot and cycle and discouraging short journeys within the centre by car.

Enhancement of these connections is inter-linked with Project B2 to transition Pearse Road into an accessible boulevard. Together, these projects could be transformative in connecting Main Street and the newer retail areas.
